Ghana's under-20 team coach Sulley Mohammed is counting on the Black Satellites to make a big impact when they line up for their opening Group B game on Wednesday at the second Sasol eight-nations tournament.

The Black Satellites would kick off against Lesotho at the Eldorado Park Stadium in the Sasol eight nations tournament which gets underway at venues around Gauteng.

Sulley Mohammed wants his side to get past the group stage games which also includes clashes against Ivory Coast and the young Pharaohs of Egypt.

"We did not do very well at the Toulon tournament in France so we're aiming to make a big impact at this tournament," the Ghana coach said.

"The boys know each other better now and know what is expected of them so we're aiming to make it to the semis.”

However the Black Satellites coach is not underestimating their Southern African opponent in the opening group game.

"I have seen Ivory Coast, China and Cameroon play so not all the teams are strangers to us," he said.

"However, it does not matter who we play against because most African teams can play good football and if you underestimate a team because they are not known, then you can fail."

Sulley Mohammed who made nine changes to the team that played at the Toulon Football Tournament says his boys are looking forward to Wednesday’s game.

"Each and every one of these boys are good players, I cannot single out anyone that we solely depend on," Sulley Mohammed said.

"We are ready physically and today (Tuesday) we will work on set-pieces for our first clash. We are looking forward to it," he said.
