Rtd. Referee Justice Yeboah has been appointed as the Chairman of the Match Review Committee, the body responsible for assessing the performances of match officials across the country. Yeboah's appointment signals a vote of confidence in his leadership and commitment to upholding refereeing standards in Ghanaian football.

Joining him as Vice Chairman is Paul Ayamba, the Chairman of the Match Commissioners in Ghana. Ayamba brings with him a blend of impeccable football experience, which is expected to support the committee's mission of improving officiating quality through fair assessments and disciplinary action.

A new face on the committee is Christian Atsatsa, who joins as a member for the 2024/25 season. Atsatsa is expected to bring fresh perspective and energy to the committee's operations, particularly in its critical role of reviewing controversial decisions and ensuring accountability among referees.

Atsatsa, a retired referee, is currently the Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association's referees committee, a confirmation of his commitment to seeing the improvement of officiating in the country.

The Match Review Committee plays a key role in Ghana’s football governance structure by reviewing officiating performances, especially in matches where contentious decisions are reported. The committee has the authority to recommend sanctions or suspensions for referees who fail to properly apply the laws of the game.

This latest composition of the committee reflects the GFA’s commitment to improving refereeing standards, promoting transparency, and maintaining the credibility of league competitions across the country.
