GFA calls for the arrest of Pure Joy supporters after violence in Div one match against Danbort

The Ghana Football Association has called for the arrest of supporters of Pure Joy Stars who allegedly assaulted match officials and a policeman at the GN Bank Division One match against Danbort in Prampram.

At about the 86th minute of the said match, supporters of Pure Joy went into the inner perimeter and verbally and physically assaulted the assistant referee 1 resulting in blood oozing from his nose.

The supporters of the club also threw stones and other objects into inner perimeter and one hit one of the Police personnel on duty on his face resulting in blood oozing from his nose.

And after reviewing a video recording of the match, the GFA has identified fans of the Club who took part in the assault cases during the match.

A copy of the video has therefore been given to the police to aid its investigations and identification of the alleged culprits.

Pure Joy Stars have however been charged on three counts of misconduct by the Ghana Football Association Disciplinary Committee.
