Asante Kotoko brushed aside the threat posed by Amidaus Professionals, winning 2-0 on Sunday to maintain their lead in the Premier League.

And it was Yahaya Mohammed who scored both goals against his former side to help Kotoko to the win in Tema.

Yahaya, who last season played on loan with the Tema side scored in either half, opening the scoring in the 36th minute.

Kotoko held onto their lead into the break as the home team tried to draw level.

After recess, Amidaus could have drawn level but missed clear-cut chances.

As the clock ticked, Kotoko pushed for another goal and were rewarded in the 84th minute when Yahaya sealed the day for the Porcupine Warriors.
