Black Maidens forward Gloria Ameaa Adomako says Ghana are fearless ahead of their quarter-final clash with Japan, despite a tough battle against Argentina that saw them finish with ten players.

Reflecting on the Argentina match, Adomako admitted it was a difficult test.

"Argentina was a tough team. We were trying to win and we got a red card. It wasn't an easy game for us, losing a player who was so important to us. But we recovered due to talking to ourselves and encouraging ourselves. I think that's how we recovered from the match," she said.

The forward insists the team is not intimidated by Japan.

"It's okay, we are not scared. I think we have the confidence to step into our next game. We've played many teams, and they are doing what Japan is doing. So we can handle them and we will play. Because we know that due to their passes, we can also play. We can also pass, control and play to their style," Adomako said.

Adomako credits the team's confidence to the support around them.

"Seeing my coaches always encouraging us and Ghana behind us, I think that is the situation that is giving us the confidence to step into our next game. We are sure Ghana will expect a win from us. We are going to win and we are ready for the game tomorrow," she added.

Ghana faces Japan in the quarter-finals on Sunday with a place in the last four at stake.
