A petition filed by Techiman City requesting the GFA to sanction Berekum Arsenals for an alleged misconduct of refusal to pay fines has failed.

The GFA's Prosecution came to a conclusion that the evidence does not support the allegations against Berekum Arsenals.

The Prosecution stated that charges cannot be brought against Arsenals for the following reasons:

A. On point (i) the evidence shows that Berekum Arsenals paid the amount of Eight Thousand Ghana Cedis in full on June 11, 2013 (receipt number 013662) within the stipulated period stated in the Regulations.

B. On point (ii) the evidence shows that a Protest against Berekum Arsenals was brought before the judicial bodies of the Ghana Football Association by Unity Football Club on the same facts. The same Disciplinary Committee which a charge against Berekum Arsenals would be brought, dismissed the Protest.

The Appeals Committee upheld the decision of the Disciplinary Committee. Since then, the Ghana Football Association has communicated to Berekum Arsenal to pay the fine. That payment is currently not ripe to support a misconduct charge.

"In the light of the foregoing, we hereby state that a successful charge cannot be brought against Berekum Arsenals Football Club and the Petitioner must be informed of same," the statement read.

Techiman City submitted a written request dated May 2 seeking to have Arsenal sanctioned for allegedly, refusing to pay the following fines;

Berekum Arsenal v Hearts of Oak - GH¢8,000.00 Berekum Arsenal v Asante Kotoko - GH¢5,000.00
