The first round of matches for the Elite Cup Competition kicked off this weekend with some teams recording first leg victories in matches played across the country.
Kumasi based Asokwa Deportivo recorded a narrow 3-2 victory over Rainbow whiles Techiman City FC beat Bofoakwa 2-1 in the first round of matches played on Sunday.
In the Central region, Metro FC beat Windy Professionals 3-2 at the Sekondi Gyandu park on Saturday with Ajax also winning 3-0 away to Samin FC at the same venue on Sunday.
The biggest scoreline of the first round was recorded at the Tema Stadium when Real Athletico beat Zaytuna 9-0 ahead of the return leg which will be played on Wednesday.
