The GFA Executive Committee has approved the Match Review Panel’s recommendation which has suspended Referee Kyeremeh Yeboah for six matches with effect from Match day sixteen (16).

After watching a video clip of the Ghana Premier League Match day 12 game between Wa All Stars and WAFA, the Match Review Panel observed that Referee Kyeremeh Yeboah awarded a bad penalty against WAFA in the 18th minute of the match.

The video of the match showed that the WAFA player only kicked the ball out of the penalty area without the ball touching his hand.

IN his defence at the panel meeting, Referee Kyeremeh Yeboah tried to justify his action by giving different inconsistent reasons for awarding the penalty kick. He was unable to state any definite foul that warranted his decision.

The panel was not convinced with the defence he put up and therefore, Referee Kyeremeh Yeboah is hereby suspended for six (6) matches with effect from Match day 16.
