The Central Regional Football Association (CRFA) will hold its 2026 Ordinary Congress on Friday, October 9, 2026, as the region prepares for the start of the new football season.
The Congress will be held at the Sewdu Stadium in Cape Coast and is scheduled to begin at 9:00am. Delegates, club representatives and other members of the Central Region football community are expected to attend the statutory meeting.
The Ordinary Congress, which is the highest decision-making body of the Association, will give members the opportunity to consider the activities of the past season and take decisions on matters affecting football in the region ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The meeting is expected to consider the Association’s Activity Report, Financial Statements and Auditor’s Report, as well as the budget for the new season. Members will also discuss the competitions calendar, football development programmes and other matters relating to the administration and growth of the game in the Central Region.
The Congress will also provide an opportunity for the Executive Council, led by Central Regional FA Chairman Robert Otieku Duncan, to engage directly with clubs and stakeholders on the progress made during the past season and challenges that need to be addressed.
In accordance with the statutory requirements of the Ghana Football Association, the relevant Congress documents and agenda have been made available to members ahead of the meeting to allow delegates to prepare for the deliberations.
The Congress is also expected to pave the way for the commencement of the 2026/27 regional football season, with the Association expected to announce the start of its various competitions.
Delegates have been urged to attend the Congress on time as the CRFA begins preparations for another season of football across the Central Region.
