The Upper West Regional Football Association (UWRFA) will hold its 2026 Ordinary Congress on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, as preparations continue for the new football season in the region.

The Congress will take place at the Upland Hotel and is scheduled to begin at 9:00am. Delegates, club representatives and other stakeholders in Upper West football are expected to attend the statutory meeting.

The Ordinary Congress, which serves as the highest decision-making body of the Association, will give members the opportunity to review the activities of the past season and consider key matters ahead of the 2026/27 football season.

Among the issues expected to be discussed are the review of the past season, the Association’s Activity Report, Financial Statements and Auditor’s Report, as well as the budget for the new season. Delegates will also consider the competitions calendar, football development programmes and other matters concerning the administration and growth of the game in the region.

The meeting will also provide an opportunity for the Executive Council, led by Upper West Regional FA Chairman Alhaji Yahaya Sadugu, to engage clubs and other stakeholders on the progress made over the past season and the challenges affecting grassroots football.

In accordance with the Ghana Football Association Statutes, the relevant Congress documents and agenda have been sent to members ahead of the meeting to give delegates sufficient time to prepare for the deliberations.

The Congress will set the stage for the 2026/27 regional football season, with the Association expected to announce the commencement of its various competitions.
