Preview: Day 2 of GN Bank Division League kicks off this weekend

The second round of matches in the GN Bank Division One League kicks off the weekend with lots of action across the country.

The opening round of matches in Zone One saw RTU, Bolga Man City, Arsenals and Utrecht securing three points in their games whiles the other matches ended in draws.

Arsenals who are now leading the League log will welcome Bolga Man City to the Berekum Golden City Park on Sunday for their Match day two game, a game that promises to be very cagey.

Esperance will also host Guan United at Atebubu after both clubs lost their opening matches whiles Unity FC play at home in their match against Galaxy.

The game that promises to be most exciting in Zone One this weekend is the Techiman derby between Berlin FC and Techiman City.

Both clubs are yet to secure a win and Sunday’s match will present them the best opportunity to grab all the three points at stake.

Bolga Allstars will be at home to WA African United with a Tamale derby between Tamale Allstars and Utrecht also scheduled for the Tamale Stadium annex.

Former topflight sides Bofoakwa and RTU will both be at home in their matches on Sunday against Ama Amajande and Japekrom Mpuasoman respectively.

In Zone two, which produced 20 goals on the opening day of the season with three draw games and a match called off, lots of goals will be expected from the clubs on Match day two of the fixtures.

Dwarfs will play their first match of the season against Goldstars, after their game against King Faisal last weekend was called off.

King Faisal on the other hand will begin life in the second tier as guests of Samosa FC at the Wesley Park on Sunday February 28.

Windy Professionals also host Dunkwa United in Cape Coast with Asokwa Deportivo also taking on Eleven Wise at the Baba Yara Stadium on Saturday.

At the Essipong Stadium, Karela will welcome Tarkwa United as Starke FC also play against Proud United in Dunkwa.

Other matches will see Cornerstones take on Samartex with Elmina Sharks hosts in their match against Wassaman.

Zone Three promises to be exciting with the toast of the weekend set for the Nkawkaw Park where Okwahu United will welcome their fellow ex-Premier side Tema Youth on Sunday.

Mighty Jets will be at the Teshie Park homegrounds when they play their second match of the season against Hot Steel on Sunday.

Sporting Mirren who lost their season opener will this time around play at home in their match against Istanbul.

Danbort will however play their game against D’International at their Nungua Park home grounds on Saturday.

This weekend’s Live match telecast on First Digital TV will be at the Tema Stadium for the match between Real Athletico and Dreams FC on Saturday while Nania’s match against Pure Joy is also billed to be telecasted live on Sunday.

To close the weekend’s round of matches in Zone Three, Kotoku Royals who suffered a 3-0 defeat in the season opener will welcome Prestige FC at the Oda Park.
