Port City FC climbed to the summit of the Access Bank Division One League Zone Three table after a hard-fought 2–1 victory over league leaders Semper Fi FC in a thrilling encounter at Ohene Park, Kukurantumi.
After a tightly contested first half ended goalless, forward Korbla Junior Kedzie broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute to give Port City the lead. Semper Fi responded swiftly, as Kelvin Takyi Awuku drew the visitors level just four minutes later with a well-taken finish.
