Ebiemo FC, Fetterman FC and Pro Sports Academy will begin life in the UMB Division One League this weekend after securing promotion to the second-tier league.

Ebiemo FC qualified from the Western Region, with Pro Sports Academy and Fetterman FC qualifying from the Ashanti and Central Regions respectively.

Notable campaigners King Faisal, Rospak FC, Elmina Sharks, Skyy FC, Ebusua Dwarfs, PAC Academy and the enterprising Nsuopon Fidelity are all aiming to make an impression this season. MTN FA Cup holders Nations FC, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, are desperate to make a swift return to the elite Division having made some impressive signings ahead of the season.

Coach Zdravko Logarusic is hungry for success after failing to progress in the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup. Nations FC are building a new team for the campaign following the departure of some notable players including Razak Simpson, Emmanuel Annor and Faisal Charwettey among others.

Nsuopon Fidelity will open their campaign against Future Stars at the Dominase Astro Turf on Friday, while Nations FC travel to the Ampain AAK Arena to take on newly promoted side Ebiemo FC.

On Sunday, King Faisal will host Rospak FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, while another newly promoted side Fetterman FC travel to Elmina as guests of Elmina Sharks. New Edubiase United will also start the season with an away fixture against Ebony FC at the Mohammed Kamil Arena on Sunday.
