Hearts of Oak kept their slim hopes of upstaging Asante Kotoko from the summit on course as the Phobians defeated Amidaus Professionals on Sunday.

The Phobians were 3-0 winners at the Accra Stadium and 12 points behind the top but have a game in hand.

Three second half goals handed Mohammed Polo a major boost with the season left with ten more games to go.

Eric Kumi opened the floodgates when he angled a shot into the upright from inside the box in the 49th minute.

The Phobians doubled their lead seven minutes later through Salasi Adjei before Robin Gnagne wrapped up victory from the spot.

At the Essipon Stadium, Hasaacas shot one past Heart of Lions to win 1-0.

Emmanuel Ankobeah scored the match winner in the 75 minute lift his side to fourth on the log.

In Bekwai, an injury time penalty converted by Stephen Manu handed New Edubiase a 1-0 win over King Faisal.
