Ahead of the start of the third round of the Elite Clubs Cup Competition (ECCC), five outstanding matches will be played this week to determine the clubs that will make it into the next stage.

This is as a result of the rulings of the GFA Disciplinary committee which has paved way for these matches to be played.

Tarkwa United who were declared winners of their match against KFC Samosa will now play their second round game away to Dunkwa , with the first leg scheduled for Thursday January 15.

Following the Disciplinary Committee’s ruling on the case between Samin FC and Ajax FC, Ajax who were declared winners will face Elmina Sharks on Wednesday in the first leg of their second round match.

Metro SC will also host Eleven Wise on Wednesday for first leg match while Istanbul FC take on Prestige at the Akim Takyiman park to determine who will make it into the third stage of the competition.

Tema Youth will play at home against D’international in the first leg of the second round of match with Feyenoord.

Due to Kadjebi Warriors’ failure to appear for their second round match, Feyenoord have automatically qualified to the third stage of the competition.

Dates for the next round of the competition will be announced after all outstanding matches have been played.

The third round of the competition will see Premier League clubs taking on the second-tier sides who have qualified to this stage.
