One-day Stakeholders Seminar on MTN FA Cup Competition held in Accra

The MTN FA Cup Committee has held a one-day stakeholders seminar to identify ways of improving and adding value to the competition.

The event which took place at the Oak Plaza Hotel in Accra on Wednesday, also reviewed the competition since it was re-introduced onto the Ghanaian football calendar 4 seasons ago.

Various speakers at the event delivered papers on a review of the FA Cup since it's rebirth, critique and it's challenges and the way forward - adding value to the competition.

MTN also delivered a paper on the Sponsors perspective of the competition.

Stakeholders at the event were also grouped to deliberate on topics such as Promotion and Advertising, Marketing and Sponsorship(revenue generation), Structure of the competition and Spectatoring.

The live draw of the round of 64 also held at the event which last year's winners Asante were drawn against Paga Crocodiles amongst other interesting pairings.

The next round of the knock-out competition is scheduled to kick off next month across the country.

The MTN FA Competition has been won by various clubs since it's re-introduction, with Nania FC, New Edubiase, Medeama and Asante Kotoko all winning the trophy over the past four seasons.
