The new trophy to be handed out to the winners of the 2013-14 Premier League season has been unveiled by headline sponsor, First Capital Plus Bank.

The gold-plated trophy, with a molded player striking a ball at its apex stands at 90cm in height was handed over to Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi on Monday.

The winner of the First Capital Plus Premier League on May 18 will be presented with a miniature trophy with the original only going go to the Club that wins the league on three occasions for keeps.

“We hope this will go a long way to enhance the competitiveness of the Premier League as we strive to keep enhancing the local game,” Kwesi Nyantakyi said after receiving the trophy.

The competition's top scorer and best goalkeeper will also receive silverware awards from the title sponsor for their individual brilliance.
