Going top of the First Capital Premier League remains Hearts of Oak's greatest challenge this season.

The Phobians boosted their chances of catching up with rivals, Asante Kotoko at the summit after a comfortable 3-0 home win over Amidaus Professionals on Sunday.

Now the Phobians, 12-points behind their rivals and with a game hand can cut that gap as they prepare for their travel to the Western part of the country on Wednesday.

Up next for the in-form capital side is the contest against Medeama, Ghana's sole continental representatives.

The Mauves with two games in hand are outside the top-four for now ahead of their meeting with Mohammed Polo's side.

Polo appears to have steadied the ship at Hearts of Oak after a poor start and with the Phobians finding their form, much will be expected from them in Tarkwa.

It will be another cracker for Medeama, who having lost to Kotoko at home will be eager to prevent yet another defeat to one of their top sides in the league.

Victory for either side will add to the twist for the top.
