Match Report: Police Ladies beaten by Hasaacas at home

Hassacas Ladies FC shocked Police Ladies FC 2-1 in a nerve-wracking match-day six encounter played at the McDan La Town Park in Accra.

Two goals from Milot Abena Pokua were enough to seal victory for the Sekondi based club. Milot, grabbed an early goal in the 3rd minute having capitalized on a defensive blunder from the home side to beat goalkeeper Vida Zanu Fiati.

Police Ladies fetched the equalizer twelve minutes later through Josephine Boateng. The captain converted from the spot to draw parity for her side. Doris Boaduwaa had another chance to give her side a deserved lead but the forward, wasted the chance to keep the score line level. Boaduwaa again came close to scoring but her thunderous shot was saved by Fiati.

Milot Pokua scored her second goal fifteen minutes from the break to give Hasaacas Ladies the lead against the run of play as they headed into the locker room with their tails up.

The second half started on a high, Police Ladies kept moving in lightning speed to get the crucial equalizer. However, the gallant defensive display from Hassacas denied.

Janet Egyiri, Faustina Aidoo, Regina Antwi, Queenabel Amankwah ensured the team travelled back with the maximum points. The loss puts Police ladies on seven points after six matches, while Hassacas ladies move to 15 points less than league leaders, Berry ladies FC who were held 2-2 by Lady strikers.

Hasaacas Ladies defender Janet Egyir was adjudged the NASCO player of the match.
