The 2026 KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U17 Colts Championship enters its decisive phase on Thursday, October 8, with the final round of group-stage matches set to determine the remaining semi-finalists at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
With qualification and group positions still at stake, Matchday Five promises a thrilling finish as the competition’s leading sides battle for places in the last four.
Prempeh Elite Academy, already assured of a semi-final berth, will open the day against Upper East Region at 8am, while Greater Accra Region face Northern Region in the other Group A encounter.
The spotlight then shifts to Group B at 10am, where leaders Brong Ahafo and Western Region will square off in a potentially decisive top-of-the-table clash. Both teams are level on nine points, but Elite Academy, BIG Boss are just a point behind on eight, setting up a dramatic three-way battle for qualification.
Elite Academy, BIG Boss will meet Eastern Region in the other Group B fixture, knowing that victory could propel them into the semi-finals.
Defending champions Ashanti Region will also be looking to salvage some pride when they face Upper West Region at 2pm. The champions are yet to record a victory in regulation time and will be determined to end their campaign on a positive note.
Central Region will round off the group-stage action against Volta Region, with the outcome helping shape the final semi-final picture.

The tournament continues to offer the country’s most promising U17 players a competitive platform to showcase their technical quality, tactical awareness and potential while gaining invaluable experience against some of Ghana’s finest young talents.
