Though there will be no silverware handed out this weekend, the quest for honours in the MTN FA Cup remains high for Clubs as the competition reaches the quarter-finals.

Two fifth-round matches, both, involving Premier League sides - Inter Allies, Hasaacas, Asante Kotoko and AshantiGold - will be played.

It's the FA Cup or surviving relegation for Inter Allies as they face another big weekend that could somehow define their debut season in the topflight.

The magic of the Cup could drive Inter Allies to success as they come up against Hasaacas in Tema on Saturday.

Inter Allies have conceded the most goals - 30 - in the league but they have strolled into the last-eight as the FA Cup remains their only shot at silverware.

For Hasaacas, who are pushing for a top-four spot, the Cup competition is also their only hope of a title this season and every success along the way will cap a great season.

The big game of the weekend is at the Accra Stadium where they regional derby between Kotoko and AshantiGold will be decided instead of the Baba Yara Stadium which has been closed temporarily to matches involving Kotoko following incidents of violence.

With a league title within sight, Kotoko's belief of a double this season could gain some boost as they come up against the Miners.

Though in title winning form, the pitfalls that the FA Cup brings is not lost on the Reds.

They've been here before. Kotoko are no strangers to upsets but after twice losing out in the finals in the last three seasons of the Cup competition, this season represents another hope of a double - League and FA Cup.

But the Miners are in danger of allowing a another campaign which had promised so much end with nothing in the trophy cabinet in Obuasi.

After a great start in the league, they have struggled to keep pace with the top - Kotoko - as the FA Cup remains their only realistic title chance.
