Asante Kotoko suffered a second-straight defeat in the Premier League on Friday after losing 2-1 at home to ten-man New Edubiase.

Nuhu Fuseini opened the scoring at the Baba Yara Stadium after 16 minutes into the start of the game.

However Ahmed Adams equalised for Kotoko, giving them a glimmer of hope of better things to come in the 27th minute.

Two minutes after the equaliser, the visitors stormed into the lead again through Felix Afriyie to silence the home crowd.

Edubiase went into recess on top but four minutes after the restart of proceedings, they saw red when Malik Tahiru was dismissed.

Despite being a man down, Edubiase held on to their slender lead which lifts them above Kotoko on the standings.

David Duncan's side who were smarting themselves from an away loss to Heart of Lions last weekend have now slumped to 10th place on the log.

And the Porcupine Warriors, who are reigning champions could go further down the table with the bulk of the match-day-17 fixtures fixed for Saturday.
