Asante Kotoko's second round fixture with third-tier side Wiaga United on Tuesday could take on extra importance following Hearts of Oak's elimination from the MTN FA Cup.

The Phobians and four other Premier League teams - Wa All Stars, Ebusua Dwarfs, Heart of Lions and Amidaus Professionals - have been dumped out of the competition by teams from the lower divisions.

Such is the reality that the Cup competition has produced and many expect more upsets as the competition continues.

Kotoko will be guided by the setbacks suffered by their competitors when they arrive in Bolgatanga in the Northern Region for the Round of 64 clash with Wiaga on the eve of Christmas.

Coach of the Porcupine Warriors, Didi Dramani will be hoping his team do not follow the path of their rivals, Hearts of Oak as they push on all title fronts - Premier League, FA Cup and CAF Champions League.
