Asante Kotoko confirm their ambition to regain the league title after recording a second-straight win the First Capital Plus Premier League on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors defeated struggling Ebusua Dwarfs 2-1 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi to open a 10-point gap at the top with 13 more matches to go.

Despite their early exit from the CAF Champions League, Kotoko continue to show their domestic dominance as they gradually pull away from the chasing pack.

Two first half goals by Abdul Aziz Yusif and Smallboy Korbah before the 25th minute set them up for a home win as they two-nil going into the break.

Dwarfs, lying second from bottom on the log returned from recess determined to turn around the game and in the 62nd minute, they managed to pull one back as Richard Gadze halved the deficit.

Though the goal handed Dwarfs a boost, Kotoko were not about to give up the lead as they held on to pick all three points.
