Ghana coach Maxwell Konadu has given a positive injury update ahead of his side's quarter-final meeting with DR Congo at the African Nations Championship.

The two sides will meet on Sunday in the quarter-finals of the tournament.

After going into his previous game with a host of changes due to injuries, Konadu now finds himself in a better situation over the fitness of his squad.

He can now count on Yahaya Mohammed and Sulley Mohammed though there are still doubts about the fitness of Godfred Saka.

"The injury situation has improved," Konadu told www.ghanafa.org on the eve of the game in Bloemfontein.

"Yahaya [Mohammed] is back training and Sulley [Mohammed] is also back training. Yahaya's situation is better than Sulley. And Sulley's is also better than [Godfred] Saka. This is the little worry and the doctors are working hard on them.

Despite players returning to training, the Ghana coach said he will leave it late to decide over the availability of his returning players.

"We will see what happens after our final training session before the game," he said.

"With these players, our system will change and without them, we play a different system to deal with their absence. Over all we are happy they are recovering."
