
Pollsters on the Ghana Football Association’s official website, www.ghanafa.org, have voted Laryea Kingston as the best Black Stars player during the recent Zenith Bank 4-nation International Tournament hosted by Ghana.
A poll conducted recorded a total of 925 votes after it opened close to midnight on November 26 and was closed on December 6 at 11am.
Pollsters were asked: ‘Who was your best Ghana player during the 4-nation tournament?’
Six Black Stars players - Michael Essien, John Mensah, Laryea Kingston, Junior Agogo, Stephen Appiah and John Paintsil – all who took part in the tournament were entered into the poll.
The Hearts midfielder, who top-scored the mini-tournament with three goals to help Ghana win it in two games picked up 62% representing 571 votes cast while Michael Essien came second with 12%being 112 votes.
Junior Agogo followed up with 10% after receiving 90 votes, John Paintsil had 9% with 86 votes with Stephen Appiah receiving 44 votes being 5% while John Mensah picked 22 votes representing 2%.
