King Faisal beat Inter Allies to boost survival chances

King Faisal won their first away game of the season after posting a 1-0 win against Inter Allies on match day 21 of the Ghana Premier League at the theatre of Dreams, Dawu on Sunday.

Zubairu Ibrahim scored the only goal of the game in the 23rd minute to give King Faisal victory.

Playing at home, Inter Allies were touted as favourites following their outstanding play against Dreams FC and Karela United after their switch to Dawu – But King Faisal who were without a win in the second round prior to the game shocked the home side.

After going 1-0 down in the first half, Richard Arthur, Mohammed Zakari and Sunday Kalu came on to add bite to the Inter Allies attack.

But King Faisal were determined to win the game and were resolute in defence in the second half.

Richard Arthur nearly levelled things up for the hosts but his effort was saved by goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad.

King Faisal are now level with Eleven Wonders - 22 points after the win but still remain 17th on the league table.
