Jordan Opoku was selected the best player in Ghana's last Group C match against Ethiopia at the African Nations Championship.

The captain of the home-based national team led Ghana to a 1-0 win and the victory secured them a place in the quarter-finals.

Jordan's outstanding performance in the hard fought victory secured by a 77th minute penalty by Kwabena Adusei earned him the Orange man-of-the-match award.

He becomes the third Ghana player to have been rewarded for their performances in all three group matches.

Theophilus Anobaah and Yahaya Mohammed are the previous winners of the award at the tournament which is exclusive to players based in their home countries.
