Ghana say they remain fully focused in their second group match against Benin at the GoTV Wafu Cup as they bid to progress beyond the group stages.

Despite taking a 4-1 win in their first game against Sierra Leone, Maxwell Konadu's home-based national team need to sustain their winning run if they are to reach the finals.

Either side have a chance of topping the group after Benin draw 2-2 with Burkina Faso in their opening match.

Aware that winners of the two groups will progress to the final, Konadu is leaving nothing to chance ahead of Ghana's meeting with Benin at 18:00GMT at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

"We are going to take one match at time," Konadu said.

"We can't say we are going to win the tournament. We will take it as it comes."

And as he tasks his players not to let-up, the Ghana coach is demanding his team to reproduce their second half form from the first game against Sierra Leone that saw them romp in three more goals to win massively.

"I think what you saw in the second half is just a glimpse of how we want to play our game," said the Ghana coach.

And before the Ghana v Benin fixture, Sierra Leone will attempt to bounce back when they meet Burkina Faso in their game at 15:00GMT (3:00pm local time).

Both sides will be pushing for a win to improve their chances ahead of the final group matches.
