The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has presented buses to Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Hasaacas Ladies, winners of the Northern and Southern Zones of the Malta Guinness Women's Premier League for thye 2023/24 season.
This initiative is part of the GFA's Bus Acquisition Strategy, aimed at enhancing football development by alleviating transportation burdens and improving operational capacity for clubs.
GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku stated that this move is part of the association's broader strategy to empower clubs and ensure sustainable development of the game. The buses are expected to boost the clubs' logistical capabilities and performance.
This follows a similar initiative last year where the GFA presented buses to nine Division One League clubs that have since been promoted to the Premier League or are still competing in Division One.
They included Young Apostles FC (now in the Premier League), Techiman Heroes FC, Victory Club Warriors, Basake Holy Stars (now in the Premier League), New Edubiase FC, Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs, Vision FC (now in the Premier League), Okwawu United and Hohoe United.
The GFA's efforts to support clubs through such initiatives demonstrate its commitment to developing football in Ghana.
