GFA joins Gov't, family, others to receive remains of former Sports Minister ET Mensah

The remains of the late former Sports Minister and Council of State member E.T. Mensah arrived in Ghana from South Africa on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

President of the Association, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo (Esq.), Michael Osekre, football stakeholders, and supporters represented the football family at the ceremony at the Kotoka International Airport.

The former Sports Minister who was very instrumental in procuring the Ghana Football Association Technical Centre at Prampram, died aged 77 in South Africa, last week, after battling ill health.

Enoch Teye Mensah was also a Minister for Education and a Member of Parliament for the people of Ningo Prampram from January 1997 until January 2017.

He was also a former Minister for Employment and Social Welfare, Water Resources, Works and Housing.

He was popularly referred to as E.T Mensah and was married with seven children.

The Ghana Football Association sends it condolences to the Kley Abodo Family of Prampram and all in the football family.
