The Football Association, in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service (GES), is set to roll out another edition of the Football4Girls grassroots football initiative in the Upper West Region.
The programme runs from Monday, December 8 to Friday, December 12, 2025, and will engage three districts, Wa Municipal, Tumu-Sissala East and Nadowli-Kaleo.
Representing the GFA is Jennifer Amankwaa Sarpong, the Football Association’s Women’s Football Development Manager. She will lead sessions on the GFA Women’s Football Strategy, focusing on its implementation and the development pathways available for young female footballers.
The initiative aims to boost girls’ participation in football, correct misconceptions about female involvement in sports, and identify promising talent between the ages of 6 and 12.
Activities will include fun games among schools, as well as educational sessions for pupils, teachers, parents and community members to strengthen support for girls' football development.
