President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku has extended his warmest wishes to the entire Ghanaian football family ahead of the start of the 2026/27 football season, calling on all stakeholders to embrace the campaign with a renewed commitment to fair play, discipline, integrity, professionalism and collective progress.

In his goodwill message, the President acknowledged the dedication of the many individuals and institutions whose passion and hard work continue to drive the development and growth of football across the country.

Here is the full message

Dear Members of the Ghanaian Football Family,

As we embark on another football season, I extend my warmest greetings and very best wishes to everyone whose passion, commitment and hard work keep football alive across our nation.

To our club owners, players, coaches and technical teams; our match officials, administrators, medical and security personnel; our supporters, media, sponsors, partners and all other stakeholders, welcome to a new football season.

Every new season brings with it renewed hope, fresh ambitions and the opportunity to write another chapter in the rich story of Ghanaian football.

Across our various competitions; from the professional leagues to the lower divisions, women's football, Colts Football, youth competitions and our national teams, we have an opportunity to raise standards, discover and nurture talent, promote professionalism and strengthen the foundations of our game.

I therefore call on every stakeholder to approach the new season with a shared commitment to fair play, discipline, integrity, professionalism and respect.

To our players and coaches, give your best and compete with pride. To our match officials, uphold the laws of the game with courage, fairness and consistency. To our clubs and administrators, let us continue to build stronger and more sustainable institutions.

To our supporters, your passion is the soul of our football. Let that passion always be expressed with respect and responsibility. And to our media and commercial partners, thank you for helping to tell, promote and grow the story of Ghanaian football.

The Ghana Football Association remains committed to working with all stakeholders to create an environment in which our football can flourish; on the pitch, in our communities and on the international stage.

Let this be a season of exciting football, healthy competition, responsible conduct and collective progress. Let us celebrate our victories, learn from our setbacks and, above all, remember that the future of Ghanaian football is a shared responsibility.

On behalf of the Ghana Football Association, I wish every club, every team, every player and every stakeholder a successful, safe, competitive and memorable football season.

May the beautiful game unite us, inspire our young people and continue to bring pride and glory to Ghana.

Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku President Ghana Football Association & 2nd Vice-President, Confederation of African Football
