Football Family bids final farewell to "King" George Arthur

The football family will this weekend join the family and loved ones of the late “King”George Arthur during the former Black Stars player and funeral and burial service.

King George Arthur, played for BA United before joining Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the 1980’s and he is remembered for scoring a double in a Ghana Premier League match between Kotoko and rivals Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium in 1987.

He also played for Egyptian club side Al Ahly and was a regular member of the Black Stars team in the late 80’s.

After retirement, he went into football administration when he became the CEO of his former side, BA United.

The funeral arrangements are;

Saturday 5th September,2015 Laying in State: at Fiapre Presbyterian School Park - 6:00am-9:00am

Burial Service at the Fiapre Presbyterian School -9:00am -11:00am. Io be conducted by the Pentecost church, International

Burial at the Fiapre Cemetery at 12noon

Funeral rites at the Fiapre Presbyterian School Park from 12 noon -6:00pm

Sunday, 6th September, 2015: Thanks-giving service at the Fiapre Pentecost church International from 9:30am -12:30pm Funeral rites continue at Fiapre Presbyterian School Park from 12:30p.m -6:00p.m

Monday, 7th September, 2015: Family gathering at the Fiapre Akyempim Family House behind the Fiapre Lorry Station from 9:00am -12noon.
