Michael Essien today completed his transfer to Italy's AC Milan from Chelsea.

The Ghana international, thus ends eight and a half years at the Stamford Bridge where he won two Premier League titles, the Champions League, four FA Cups and one League Cup.

Essien, who made 256 appearances for the Chelsea, scoring 25 goals.

He will join with national team colleague, Sulley Muntari, who is already on the books of Milan.
