The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is set to stage the 2026 Elite U-17 Girls Colts Championship from July 30 to August 4, 2026, at the GFA Technical center in Prampram.

The championship forms part of the GFA's commitment to identifying, nurturing and developing the next generation of female football talent across the country.

It also aligns with the Association's Women's Football Strategy and FIFA's Talent Development Scheme, aimed at strengthening the grassroots game and creating sustainable pathways for young players.

The six-day competition will bring together some of the country's most promising U-17 female footballers, offering them the opportunity to showcase their talent while competing at a high level.

Beyond the competition, the championship will serve as an important platform for talent identification, with coaches and scouts expected to assess players who could progress into Ghana's national youth teams.

The Elite U-17 Girls Colts Championship will also play a significant role in the GFA's long-term vision of empowering young girls through football.
