Dominic Oduro swaps Columbus for Toronto FC

Dominic Oduro has joined Toronto FC from Columbus Crew after both Clubs completed a swap deal.

The Ghana international and Spanish winger Alvaro Rey have moved in opposite directions.

Oduro, 28, and capped once for the senior national team, the Black Stars has 46 goals in 228 MLS appearances, including 139 starts.

"To my new team, Toronto hope to help the team move forward. Thanks for everyones love and support," the Ghanaian tweeted Friday.

Another tweet read: "Wanna thank the Crew organization for the opportunity they gave me to play for them. It was blast but in the end guess it didn't work out."

Tim Bezbatchenko, Toronto team general manager said in a statement: "Dominic is a player that we have had our eye on for quite some time, and we are pleased to finalize this deal and bring him to Toronto FC,

"He is a player that has a tremendous amount of speed, and adds a lot to a team's attack."
