The GFA Disciplinary Committee has dismissed Wa Rocket’s protest against Tamale Glory Stars in respect their of their MTN FA Cup preliminary round match played at Tamale Stadium Annex Park, on January 28, 2015.

Wa Rockets protested against the respondents for using unregistered players in their MTN FA Cup match and for failing to take a picture of the unregistered players with the match officials contrary to Articles 16(3), 16(5) and 29(1)(a) of the GFA General Regulations.

The Petitioner contended that of the 18 players of the Respondent who were named on the team sheet, 14 of them used invalid registration cards while 4 of their players had no cards at all.

The Petitioner also contended that the Respondent prevented their players from taking a picture with the match officials as required by the rules and therefore demanded to be declared the winner of the match.

However, the Disciplinary Committee ruled that:

1. That for failing to file the Protest within two (2) days after the said match as stipulated by Article 30(b) of the FA Cup Regulations, the Protest of Wa Rockets FC against Tamale Glory Stars was filed out of time and is hereby dismissed.

2. That the match result shall stand.

3. That there shall be no order as to cost.

4. That any party which is dissatisfied with this Decision has within two (2) days of being notified of this Decision to appeal to the Appeals Committee (see Article 31(b) of the FA Cup Regulations).
