The GFA Congress has unanimously voted to expel Hikari FC and Aburi Highlanders FC from the Association.

The two Eastern Region-based Division two Clubs were expelled in line with Article 21 Clause 1 sub Clause 4 of the GFA Statutes following their protracted legal tussle with the Association without recourse to the internal dispute resolution mechanisms.

In the voting to expel the clubs, 84 members present, representing 98.3% voted in favour of the motion to expel them. One member abstained and there was no vote against the motion.

However Mr. Oteng Arthur an official of Highlanders FC who led the law suit against the GFA, has been referred to the Ethics committee.
