Chelsea off to good start in Champions League

Berekum Chelsea endured mixed feelings in their preliminary round first leg tie of the CAF Champions League despite a home win over FC Atlabara of South Sudan on Sunday.

Chelsea, who reached the group stage in their continental debut, two season's ago wrapped up a 2-0 victory at the Golden City Park.

Despite the win, the Ghanaian side will travel to South Sudan for the return without two-goal hero, Owusu Jackson, who picked up a red card.

Jackson struck the opener from a penalty after 60 minutes before doubling Chelsea's lead with his personal second in the closing stages of the match.

But after celebrating his brace, Jackson did not last till the final whistle when he went into a challenge that earned him his dismissal.
