The draw for the WAFU Zone B U-16 African Inter schools Championship qualifiers will be held during the 15th General Assembly in Cote D’Ivoire on Saturday, October 15, 2022.

The tournament which will take place from Friday, November 11 to Sunday, November 13, in Cote D’Ivoire will serve as qualifiers for the first ever CAF Inter schools Championship.

Ghana will be represented by two teams, namely, Offinso College of Education JHS and Maakro M/A JHS in the maiden edition of the tournament after winning the schools competition in Kumasi.

Ghana is one of the six countries from the West Africa Zone B region that have committed to this idea from CAF - meant to create competition among U-16 boys and girls.

The other five countries making the zonal representation are Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, Niger and Ivory Coast.

The CAF Pan-African Schools Football Championship is part of the new leadership under Dr. Patrice Motsepe's plan of developing football from a Pan-African point of view from the grassroots, with the goal of fostering a new generation of African youths.
