Ghana will play the winner of the match between host Morocco or Mali in the semifinal of the TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations if they emerge victorious against Algeria in the quarterfinals.

After finishing second in Group C with four points, the Black Queens will take on Algeria in Berkane on Saturday, seeking a spot in the semifinals. The team had a rocky start, losing 2-0 to South Africa and drawing 1-1 with Mali. However, their 4-1 win over Tanzania propelled them to the quarterfinals.

Ghana is gradually gaining momentum in the tournament, aiming for their first semifinal appearance in nine years.

The Black Queens' best performances were in 1998, 2002, and 2006, when they finished as runners-up to Nigeria on all three occasions.
