
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has granted formal approval for the name change of PearlpiaLadies Football Club to Northern City Ladies Football Club.
This decision comes in response to an official request submitted by the club’s ownership, seeking to rebrand and operate under a new identity that reflects their evolving vision and regional representation
The approval letter from the GFA reads:
We acknowledge receipt of the letter from PEARLPIA LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB requesting approval for a change of your club’s name from PEARLPIA LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB (an incorporated company) to NORTHERN CITY LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB after a board resolution.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) also acknowledge receipt of the incorporated documents of the change of name to NORTHERN LADIES CITY FOOTBALL CLUB from the Registrar General’s Department attached with Registration Number CG030990525, and TIN, C0065497015 submitted to the GFA. The GFA notes that PEARLPIA LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB, an incorporated company under the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992) has changed its name correctly under the law.
Consequently, the GFA hereby approves the change of name from PEARLPIA LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB to NORTHERN CITY LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB subject to the conditions below;
Kindly take notice that all documents, rights and obligations including but not limited to debts or fines owed to the GFA and player registration licenses or fees in the name of PEARLPIA LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB shall remain valid and shall continue in force as if same are owed by or are in the name of NORTHERN CITY FOOTBALL CLUB.
