Media and Marketing Regulation 2025 approved

The Executive Council has duly approved the Media and Marketing Regulation 2025 which will take effect from the 2025/26 for all the competitions - Ghana Premier League, Access Bank Division One League, Matla Gunness Women’s Premier League, MTN FA Cup, Women’s FA Cup and the lower leagues of the Regional Football Associations.

The Media and Marketing Regulations apply to all clubs registered with the Ghana Football Association however the application will be gradual in the lower leagues in the Regional Football Associations.

This regulation governs the ownership and exploitation of commercial rights related to the leagues and outlines the extent to which clubs must enhance their image and deliver to support the GFA's media and marketing activities for the total good of the competitions and the value of Ghana football.

The Media and Marketing Regulations spells out the Association rights including marketing, competition brand assets, media, data, ticketing, and other auxiliary rights as well as rights of clubs and benefits thereof.

The Regulations further addresses exclusive and non-exclusive rights, prohibiting third parties from engaging in ambush marketing without the GFA's approval and the Association’s right to immediate use all legal means to seek address.

The Media and Marketing Regulations will be shared with all clubs and published on the website. This approval is part of the efforts to protect and advance the image and value of the competitions of the Association such as Ghana Premier League, Access Bank Division One League, Matla Gunness Women’s Premier League, MTN FA Cup, Women’s FA Cup and the lower leagues and cups competitions of the Regional Football Associations.
