Bofoakwa Tano charged for misconduct

Bofoakwa Tano have been charged in respect of their GN Bank Division One League match against Techiman City played at the Sunyani Coronation Park on 15th March, 2015.

At half time of the said match, when the match official were about to leave for their dressing room, the club failed to control their supporters when they invaded the field of play without authorization and permission from the referee and attempted to assault the match officials prompting the police personnel to clear the inner perimeter and advise the match officials to remain on the field of play during the half time rest period contrary to the GFA Regulations.

In a second charge, after the final whistle of the match, the club failed to control their supporters when they attempted to assault the match officials resulting in the hold up of match officials on the field of play for about 15 minutes until the police personnel called in re-enforcement and to drive the match officials out in the police vehicle from the field of play to the Police Station contrary to the GFA Regulations.

Bofoakwa Tano is hereby charged for a breach of Articles 56 and 58 of the Disciplinary Code and Article 35(1)(a), 35(1)(d) and 35(10) the GFA General Regulations in respect of this match on both counts.

The Club has been asked to submit their written statement of defence to the charges on or before 24th March, 2015 before or at 5pm at the GFA Secretariat. If the club fails to submit its statement of defence, the Disciplinary Committee shall proceed to adjudicate the case without it.
