Jane Ayieyam is looking forward to maintaining her scoring start at the U-17 FIFA Women's Cup when Ghana takes on Germany on Tuesday.

The Black Maidens attacker, who scored four goals at the last World Cup in Azerbaijan two years ago was on target for Ghana in their 2-0 win over Korea DPR on Saturday.

Ayieyam opened the scoring in the 16th minute to become the first player to score in Costa Rica.

And ahead of the crucial second group fixture with the Germans, which kicks off at 5:00pm local time in Liberia [23:00 GMT], Ayieyam is proud with the start and hopes she can help Ghana progress in the competition.

"We've started well and I am happy that I scored my first first goal," Ayieyam said.

"I want to continue scoring in every match I am selected to help Ghana win.

"It's tough but I believe it's possible. At the last World Cup, I scored four goals but I want to do much better than that here in Costa Rica."

Another Ghana victory in the Group B campaign will all but qualify Augustine Adotey's side to the next round of the competition.
