Obuasi AshGold maintained their lead on the First Capital Plus Premier League table after beating Liberty Professionals 1-0 at the Carl Reindoff Park in Dansoman on Saturday.

Mohammed Yabuku scored an early goal for the away side in the 2nd minute to hand them 15 points, two more than second placed Aduana Stars.

For Coach George Lamptey’s side, they have slipped to 9th on the League table despite being level on points with six other clubs. At the Tarkwa T & A Park, Medeama pipped Berekum Chelsea 1-0 to continue their unbeaten run at home.

Nathaniel Asamoah’s first half goal was the only one in the game that saw both sides putting on an impressive performance.

Meanwhile, Heart of Lions failed to secure all three points in their home game against Inter Allies at the Kpando Park on Saturday.

The results leave Lions with 8 points just one away from the top four whiles Inter Allies follow them closely at 6th position.
