Anobaah goal gives Ghana win over Congo

Ghana claimed all the spoils in a scrappy victory over Congo at the African Nations Championship in South Africa on Tuesday.

Theophilus Anobaah's 34th inadvertent effort flew into the post with Congolese goalkeeper Kiwoko Mouyaki left beaten in the opening Group C fixture at the competition reserved for only home-based players on the continent.

Goal scorer, Anobaah was voted the Orange Man-of-the-match in a game which produced seval scoring chances but just a goal.

Ghana, making their third-straight appearance at the competition lead the log in the group which also include Ethiopia and Libya.

Though storming to victory, Maxwell Konadu will be looking an major improvements in Ghana's next game against Libya on Friday in Bloemfontein.
