WPL Match Report: Stella Nyamekye brace deepen woes of Supreme Ladies

Stella Nyamekye scored a brace for Dreamz Ladies as they overcame Supreme Ladies 2-0 on Match Day three of the Women’s Premier League on Sunday.

Supreme Ladies looked hungrier to pick the maximum points after tasting defeat last weekend whiles Dreamz Ladies showed no sign of pressure to get the points.

Both teams created some decent chances when the game wore on but were hard done by their wastefulness upfront.

Supreme Ladies scored the opening goal in the 42nd minute courtesy of Faustina Tiwaa who tapped home from close range as they held on to finish the first half 1-0.

Back from recess, the home team came into the game very determined to clinch the points at stake while Dreamz Ladies kept on searching for equalizer and that paid off when Stella Nyamekye pulled parity from the spot.

Supreme Ladies were presented with a huge chance to restore their lead Faustina Tiwaa and her team mates were blatantly wasteful ion front of goal.

Dreamz Ladies started to mount pressure on the home team which saw Stella Nyamekye getting herself on the score sheet again as she scored a delightful free kick.

Supreme Ladies did all they could to get back on level pegging but their efforts wasn’t enough as Dreamz Ladies held on to win their first away points of the season. The result means Supreme Ladies suffered their second defeat of the season whiles Dreamz Ladies matches on with unbeaten run after three matches.

Stella Nyamekye of Dreamz Ladies was adjudged the player of the Match.
