Wins for Edubiase, Medeama as Dwarfs hold Ashgold

Wahab Hannan scored at the stroke of full time to give New Edubiase the three points in their Match day 10 against Berekum Chelsea at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Sunday.

After a barren first half, Prince O Agyeman put Edubiase ahead in the 51st minute before Seth Appiah leveled for Berekum Chelsea.

Hannan then scored in the 90th minute to give the home side all three times in Sunday’s league game. A result that has also seen them advance to 11th on the league log.

Chelsea on the other hand are now 6th on the log with 16 points.

In another Match day 10 game played at the Cape Coast Stadium, reigning league champions Ashantigold settled for a 1-1 draw with Ebusua Dwarfs.

Ashgold took the lead in the 18th minute courtesy Nuhu Fuseini's strike before Insaidoo equalized for Dwarfs in 66th minute.

Dwarfs have now secured 9 points out 10 games played so far this season with Ashgold also 13th with 11 points.

League leaders Wa All Stars also suffered a lone goal defeat to Medeama at the Tarkwa T & A Park with Benjamin Bature getting the goal for the home side.
